I have decided than rather than doing a typical 'Intro' to my blog's, I have decided to also combine my first 'proper' blog as well.
So, to begin with, welcome to my blog page, blog posts... whatever you want to call it. It will feature a weekly round up of what has been going on with me and my music and also some thoughts about anything which I feel I want to write about. Right, thats the formalities out of the way. Let's get on to the meat of the blog.

For a few years now I have been after a pedal switching system. I was sick of having to tap dance every time I went from one sound to another. Last month I finally decided enough was enough and bought the PXL-PRO from JOYO. And to cut a story short, I have now hung up my tap dancing shoes.
As well as the function to switch pedals. I also needed the switching system to switch channels on my amplifier. After watching Henning Pauly's demonstration of the PXL series, I noticed that the PXL-PRO also featured this system. So I went onto Amazon, bought it and the next day it had arrived (praise Amazon Express Delivery)!
One problem I stumbled across when watching Henning's videos is that the PXL-PRO triggers the amps channels via 4 jack leads where as my amplifier uses a 5 pin din cable to attach to the foot switch. So after looking at the schematics of the din cable and asking a couple of questions on Amazon. I was able to buy a conversion adaptor to make the PXL-PRO and my amp compatible. (For anyone wondering, my amp is the Laney IRT Studio).
Once it had arrived I began planning my pedalboard and started to program the patches. Non of the pedals were stuck to the board at this point as I like to plan my board before sticking the pedals down. I has also recently bought a power supply. So I also had to be wary on where I put that. Not only because of the fact that it needs to reach all of the pedals. But also because it has some very strong lights and it looks awesome in the dark, but I digress.
The end result is what you see above. Below this paragraph is a list of all the pedals, signal chain and patches. I decided I would put the Wah in front of the PXL-Pro as it means I can access it on all of my patches. Also, as it is now placed next to the pedalboard, it also means I don't have to carry it around with me. Meaning if it is not needed, I don't have to program it out of the patches.
